A Concept for a Robot that I am planning to build
What does it do?

My first attempt to build and run a quadruped. Parts of laser cut acrylic. Powered with an arduino uno and sensorshield. Total of 12 micro- servo's, partially metal geared. It proved very difficult to align the servo's right. It walked, it turned. But was abandoned after I blew up most of the servo's by feeding them 7,4 Volts instead of 5 :P
Anyway, it's pretty much a copy of this one: http://letsmakerobots.com/node/34412
I had to use 3mm acrylic, because the lasercut firm had no 4 mm available.
Hey Guys,
I know, I didn't post for a while. Didn't have time to post some of the projects, sorry about it.
Alright, so here is our new project, we plan to go commercial with it. It is called Mobiton. It is a robotic shell for mobile devices (android currently). You can dock your phone on the device, an application written for the robot pops up and it brings the robot to life.
Overview
We are building this robot with my friend. It is (when finalized) supposed to be able to detect metal objects and interact with them (move them, ideally...). So far it has only two IR sensors for obstacle detection, so no metal detection.
Hey guys,
Just found out about LMR and wanted to share some of the robots we have made in past. (so, I will post 4-5 more projects soon)
Jeffrey The Quadruped is a quite small walker with 4 legs. It has printed circuit board with a custom arduino setup, using an Atmega328.
It has a Sharp IR Rangefinder attached on 2 servos and uses a simple rotational object tracking algorithm to let him create temporary low resolution visual maps. This way it can stay on a table, stay away from objects and even track your hands with a single sensor.
