Navigates with IR Sensors

I saw a tutorial that Ro-Bot-X did on controlling a robot with homemade IR Sensors so i decided to try it.  I am using two 38KHz IR Reveivers from RadioShack and two IR LEDs from Radio Shack.

Avoids Danger!

This is my Lumi bug. I was poking aroung looking at my favorite robotsand I though hmmmI have all these parts already and should take advantage of Hurricane Sandy's time off.

Love this little guy!

I may improve him or shrink him in the future, for now he is complete.

This is also my first complete robot that recharges and has a tiny arse switch.

Cheers!

Hi all,

I’ve been working on my first real robot last week-end and wanted to share it. It’s a simple quadruped arduino robot controlled by serial (via USB). Videos can be viewed on my blog : http://blog.joomun.org/2012/09/09/arduino-quadruped-robot/

The robot structure has been created with cheap mecanno clone

IR control has been added, i'll update the blog later.

'Antrobot' Ver 1.0.0- Based on arduino clone

Primary image

What does it do?

Walks,scampers,scitters

Alright ! After a haitus and some odd but trivial glitches I am finally happy to declare the birth of ANTROBOT Ver 1.0.0. Its a 2 legged creature with a single purpose - to explore and traverse its surroundings. Powered by a Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery it is a joy to see it scamper through the room. The way it frolics is delightful and reminds me of a swaying pendulum. It is by no stretch of imagination complete.
