What does it do?

Navigates around the room detecting obstacles and avoiding them.

I got this book for my Kindle over amazon Insectronics: Build Your Own Walking Robot and decided for this to be my first robot project. As i have been dealing with arduino for some time now but mostly building advanced outdoor sensor networks using long range RF. The book has it all from cutting the parts to programming the PIC they used to control the robot. I made a arduino version since i have a lot of arduinos at home.

Future addons:

- Use a arduino nano with a homemade servo shield to downsize the electronics

oooooo spooky image

this  image was created by scanning a Sharpe ir distance sensor on tilt and pan servos controlled by an Arduino and rendered in Processing. the closer the object is the brighter the pixel is .the view is the same as my Egg bot assembly video, if you have had a look at that.

At this point you might be thinking , why is this posted as a robot?!

My first bot

Primary image

What does it do?

Drives Arround

I started this robot a couple of weeks ago, it's just plywood, plastic wheels, some hitec 615mg servos that were laying around modified for continous rotation.  Currently control is through an Arduino Uno being fed by an RC receiver.  I have a PING sensor and some IR LED's that I think might make it a bit more interesting in the near future. The code is really ugly at the moment.  I'll attach it to this post as soon as I figure out some place to stick it.

D.A.M. v.1 (Dog Annoyance Machine)

Primary image

What does it do?

Does a little dance, annoys dogs.

This isn't really a project I set out to build-it's just an intermediate phase in the development of Serv-O.  I took the "brain" I made for him:

...and slapped it on my Magician Chasis with a 7.2v RC battery.  The Mega is actually a 328, despite what the sticker I made says. The other two chips are a 74HC14 and an SN754410, with a 7805 limiting the voltage.
