I have renbotics ServoShield and I have made a code on arduino where from serialport I can send commads to servos and it happens with that way... S01P1200,S14P2300etc..I mean that Servo 1 to 1200 posion and servo 14 to 2300 posion
[Akira] looks to increase his urban canvas by tagging poles which some custom hardware. If you’re looking to add some art to a lamp post, height becomes a problem. That’s where this little guy comes in. The remote-controlled pole climber includes a marker that leaves a trail as the device climbs and descends.
The rig clamps around a pole, with omnidirectional bearings on three sides of the four-sided frame. That last side is occupied by a rubber wheel mounted at a bit of an angle. When the motor turns the angle of the wheel causes the jig to rotate around the pole and climb at the same time. To come back down the motor is simply reversed. Xbee modules are used to make a rudimentary wireless control with a button for up and another for down. It looks like the marker is also mounted on a servo but we didn’t see a way to control when it is actually touching the pole. Perhaps you can figure it out by studying the clip after the jump.
We’ve seen projects that climb poles before. Among our favorites is the one that takes your bicycle with it.

Well, the Romanians at Robofun have built a drink mixing robot. It's not looking like the famous Bar2D2, it's looking more like a 2 axis CNC machine, but it has it's share of coolness. To order a drink, you scan the bar code with your smart phone, get to the site and choose a drink. Then wait for a bar code to be displayed on your phone, place a glass in the machine and show the bar code to the machine's webcam.
Hi, LMRians. I've been reading up on this Wavefront Algorithm Navigation and I understand bits and pieces of it, but not everything. I'm trying to learn up on it so I can use it in my next robot : Project 4L-FRED (Alfred), a butler robot. The robot is suppose to navigate around the house from the dining area to the living room and serve drinks to guests. The robot will have pre-recorded messages like greetings and stuff like asking what drinks the guest would prefer.
Invention of a new Open Source mechanical musical instrument
Following the « DYI » trend, here comes a musical automaton created by [EricDuino]. This Arduino based autonomous robot is named « Line Follower Organ », « Orgue Suiveur de Ligne » in its maiden language.
What’s new with this instrument is that it moves along its partition in order to play it.
It’s still at a very early stage and it cannot play a full symphony or house music yet. Hopefully the Open Source community will soon make it play Electro Hop.

As suggested by ChuckCrunch I am making this blog post to give you a brief explanation of my past experience/knowledge in robotics and all the things I have made. I will post all my old stuff in this blog and stuff that I dont think to be worthy of a robot post as to avoid post spam.
This is my Lumi bug. I was poking aroung looking at my favorite robotsand I though hmmmI have all these parts already and should take advantage of Hurricane Sandy's time off.
Love this little guy!
I may improve him or shrink him in the future, for now he is complete.
This is also my first complete robot that recharges and has a tiny arse switch.

[Robotgrrl] made a nice project with the Arduino Starter Kit: The Eye Robot.
It reacts differently when you ‘pet’ it and ‘poke’ it. Beware when it ruffles its brow! It enjoys singing short jingles. Rumour has it that the light up googely eye can peer into your soul.

The DAGU Red back Spider controller is an Arduino Mega (1280) compatible controller that is especially designed for driving a large number of servos. All 70 I/O pins are terminated in servo compatible 3pin male headers as well as the standard female header and the power supply is a switchmode power supply delivering 5V @ 3A from an input voltage of 7V - 32V.
