Amazon has discounted all of its Fire TV devices for Prime Day this year, and the standout is the Fire TV Stick Lite for only $12. That's $18 off its normal price and the cheapest we've ever seen it. That's not surprising either, consider it's the most basic of Amazon's streaming dongles. But all of the more powerful models are less than usual, too. You can pick up the Fire TV Stick for $17, the Fire TV Stick 4K for $25, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max for $35 and the Fire TV Cube for only $60.
The Fire TV Stick Lite provides the most essential streaming technology, supporting 1080p content and voice commands with the basic remote that comes with it. You won't be able to control your TV with the included remote, but if that's a must-have for you, you can spend just a bit more for the standard Fire TV Stick. We like that you at least get an Alexa button on the remote, which allows you to ask the device to search for your favorite shows and movies. Ultimately, the Fire TV Stick Lite is best for those who want to outfit older TVs with streaming capabilities without dropping a ton of money.
If you're not committed to going for for the lowest-priced gadget available, we'd recommend the $35 Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Aside from the Cube set-top box, it's the most powerful of Amazon's streaming devices and it supports 4K HDR content, Dolby Atmos, Live Picture-in-Picture View and WiFi 6. Plus, the remote that it comes with has both the Alexa voice command button and TV controls as well.
For those who are looking for a new TV that already has streaming chops built in, Amazon's discounted most of its Omni Series Fire TVs, too. The cheapest of the bunch is the 43-inch Omni set, which is $170 off and down to $240 for Prime Day. But even the most advanced model, the 75-inch set, won't set you back too much: it's $350 off and down to $750 right now.
The AirPods Pro remain Apple's best sounding wireless earbuds, but they're also the priciest, too. Amazon Prime Day deals have knocked the earbuds down to a more manageable $170, which is $80 off their normal price and close to their all-time low. If you're on a tighter budget, you can pick up the 2nd-gen AirPods instead while they're on sale for $90.
Even though the AirPods Pro are nearly three years old at this point, we still recommend them for Apple diehards who want the best sound quality possible along with conveniences offered by the H1 chipset. audio quality is stellar and it's only enhanced by the buds' strong ANC, which does a good job of blocking out surrounding noises. We also like that you can hop in and out of Transparency Mode when necessary, so you never miss an important conversation happening around you.
The AirPods Pro have a more comfortable design than regular AirPods, too, thanks to their interchangeable ear tips. They're also IPX4 water resistant, so they'll withstand your toughest, sweatiest workouts. Inside is Apple's H1 chipset, which enables things like hands-free Siri access and quick pairing and switching between Apple devices. The H1 chip is one of the biggest selling points for any pair of AirPods because it helps them work seamlessly with things like iPhones, MacBooks and other Apple gadgets. Another big perk to the AirPods Pro is that they now come with a MagSafe charging case, so you can wirelessly power them up using any compatible magnetic power accessory.
If you're willing to pass on features like ANC, you can save some money and opt for the 2nd-generation AirPods. They're just about the cheapest they've ever been at $90, and those who liked the fit of Apple's old-school EarPods will enjoy the design of these buds. Sound quality is decent and we liked their improved wireless performance and good battery life.
There's arguably no better time than Prime Day to buy a piece of tech made by Amazon. Echo speakers, Kindle e-readers, Fire TV devices and everything in between drop to record-low prices for the company's annual shopping event, and this year's no different. You'll find most of Amazon's gadgets are on sale for Prime Day, including the latest models of things like the Kindle Paperwhite and the Echo Show 8. Also, Amazon-owned devices, like Eero routers and Blink security cameras, are cheaper than ever, too. Here are the best deals on Amazon devices you can get for Prime Day 2022.

The Echo Show 15 has been discounted to $180, or $70 off its usual price. Instead of propping this display up on a table or countertop, it can go on your wall and act as an interactive information board, providing access to things like calendar events, shopping lists and more.

The second-generation Echo Buds are down to $70 right now, while the model with a wireless charging case is on sale for $90. Amazon massively improved these wireless earbuds from the original versions and we gave them a score of 80 for their better sound quality, good ANC and smaller design.
The Fire 7 tablet is on sale for $30, or half off its normal price. If you're looking for a cheap tablet to bring with you everywhere or to give your kid without worry, this is a good option. While it doesn't have the Google Play Store, you can still use it to check email, watch videos, play music and more.
The Fire HD 8 tablet is half off and down to $45. We gave it a score of 81 for its decent performance, good battery life, wireless charging capabilities and USB-C port.
The Fire HD 10 has dropped to only $75 for Prime Day. It's the Fire tablet to get if you want the best performance possible. We like its 1080p display, 12-hour battery life and its Show Mode feature.
Amazon's Fire 7 Kids Pro tablet is down to $50, or 50 percent off its usual rate. It's the smallest of the company's affordable tablets and the kids version comes with a protective case, a two-year warranty and one year of access to Amazon Kids+.
The 8-inch version of Amazon's kids tablet is on sale for $70. This also comes with a protective case, a two-year warranty and a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+.

You can pick up Amazon's most affordable streamer, the Fire TV Stick Lite, for only $12 right now. It supports 1080p streaming and gives you access to some of the most popular services like Netlfix and Disney+.
The standard Fire TV Stick is on sale for $17. It supports 1080p streaming with Dolby Atmos and it comes with an Alexa Voice Remote that has power and volume buttons on it.
The Fire TV Stick 4K is on sale for $25 for Prime Day. This one supports 4K streaming with Dolby Vision along with Dolby Atmos audio and Amazon's Fire TV OS.
The higher-end Fire TV Stick 4K Max has dropped to $35, which is $20 less than usual. On top of all of the features in the standard Fire TV Stick 4K, the Max version also supports WiFi 6 and live picture-in-picture viewing.
Amazon's standard Kindle has dropped to $45, which is half off its normal price. We gave this e-reader a score of 91 for its improved contrast display, extra front lights and sleeker design.
The Kindle Paperwhite is on sale for $95, which is a new record low for the e-reader. The updated model has 17 front lights, a sleeker design, an adjustable warm light, weeks of battery life and Audible support.
The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition has dropped to $135 for Prime Day. This is the best e-reader Amazon makes right now and we gave it a score of 97 for its larger screen, USB-C charging, automatic brightness adjustment and wireless charging support.
The Kindle Oasis is on sale for $175 right now, or $75 off its usual price. We gave this device a score of 89 for its thin and light design and improved backlighting system.
The Kindle Kids edition has been discounted to $50. This is essentially a standard Kindle with a few extra perks including a protective case and one year of Amazon Kids+.
The Eero 6 dual-band mesh WiFi system has dropped to $71. One node can cover up to 1,500 square feet and it supports WiFi 6 and has a built-in Zigbee home hub inside.
The Eero Pro 6 tri-band system starts at a discounted price of $148 for Prime Day. This system can cover up to 2,000 square feet with just one router and it supports WiFi 6 and has a built-in Zigbee home hub inside.
You can pick up the new Eero Pro 6E WiFi system for as low as $194 on Prime Day. Amazon recently launched this system and its the most capable WiFi 6 setup in the Eero family. It covers up to 6,000 square feed and supports speeds up to 2.3Gbps.
The Eero 6+ system is down to $90 right now. This is Amazon's most budget-friendly WiFi 6 router set and the dual-band system supports speeds up to 1Gbps and a coverage area of up to 4,500 square feet.

Blink's Outdoor camera is $40 off and on sale for $60. It has all of the features of the Indoor model along with a weather-resistant design, so you can use it to monitor the outside of your home.
The Blink Mini has been discounted to only $30 for Prime Day, and you can get two of them for the price of one as well. This camera needs to be plugged in, but we like its compact design, 1080p recording, motion alerts and two-way audio.
Amazon's Ring Video Doorbell is 25 percent off and down to $75. It records 1080p video and lets you see what's going on outside your front door. It also has two-way audio so you can speak to visitors, and a rechargeable battery.
If you've been waiting for a good deal on Apple's latest iPad Pro, you're in luck. Amazon dropped the price of the 11-inch space gray model to $699, which is $100 off its usual rate and the best price we've seen. That's how much you'll spend for the base, 128GB model, but you'll find decent sales on those with higher storage capacities, too. The 512GB version is also $100 off and down to $999, while the 1TB model is $250 off and down to $1,250.
Apple didn't change too much about the iPad Pros' designs when it upgraded the tablets last year. That's because most of the improvements are internal — both the 11-inch and 12.9-inch models run on Apple's M1 chipset, making them the most powerful iPads the company has made to date. Apple also added things like 5G support and a USB-C port that doubles as a Thunderbolt connector with USB 4.0 compatibility to make the slabs more capable as laptop alternatives. With the right accessories, these iPad Pros could replace your aging laptop if you want something a bit more lightweight that still powerful enough to be your daily driver.
Both sizes of iPad Pro also have the new Center Stage camera system, which will keep you in frame during FaceTime calls. Ultimately, the biggest difference between the 11-inch and the 12.9-inch, other than overall size, is that the 12.9-inch iPad Pros have Apple's Liquid Retina XDR display. It's certainly a nice perk if you will use the tablet to watch a lot of videos, or even edit some of your own, but that doesn't mean you're getting a lackluster screen on the 11-inch version. On the contrary, the 2,388 x 1668 resolution Liquid Retina panel with True Tone and ProMotion is one of the best screens you'll find on a high-end tablet today.
Aside from Black Friday, Amazon Prime Day is the best time of year to pick up an Echo device since most of them are deeply discounted. Amazon didn't disappoint this year — all of its Echo Show smart displays are on sale for Prime Day, key among them being the Echo Show 8 for $75. That's $55 off its usual price and a new record low, and we're calling it out at the top because it's one of the better choices for most people. Also on sale are the Echo Show 5 for only $35, the swiveling Echo Show 10 for $180 and the Echo Show 15 for $180 as well.
It's the second-generation Show 8 that you can get for $75, and we gave it a score of 87 when it came out last year. We like its 8-inch, 1,280 x 800-resolution touchscreen, minimalist design and solid sound quality. Since it's larger than the Echo Show 5, you'll get strong sound overall with surprisingly powerful bass and volume. This version of the Echo Show 8 only differs from the first-generation device in a couple of ways, with the most important being its updated video camera. The 13-megapixel camera digitally pans and zooms to keep you in frame when you're video chatting with apps like Zoom. It's a relatively small feature (which is why you could safely go for the first-gen Echo Show 8 to save some money), but it'll be useful for those who constantly use their smart display as a stationary video-chatting device.
While the Show 8 could make a good kitchen or office device, the Echo Show 5 is one of the best "smart alarm clocks" you can get right now. We like its compact size, tap-to-snooze feature and its decent sound quality. Despite being the latest generation Show 5, this one doesn't have the advanced video chatting features that the Echo Show 8 has, but you'll still be able to use it for basic video calls.
If you prefer big screens, the Echo Show 10 or the Show 15 will be good options. The former automatically swivels to follow you when you're on video calls, so you're always in frame and you can also always see the screen. It also has the auto-framing features that the Echo Show 8 has, making it one of the best options for those who video chat often. We also like that the Show 10 has a built-in Zigbee smart home hub, letting you connect things like smart lights, locks and more directly to the display without needing an extra hub to make everything work.
The Echo Show 15 is the most niche of the bunch, by far. It's a wall-mountable, Alexa-enabled touchscreen, allowing you to use it almost like a digital cork board of sorts. You can customize it to have notes, to-do lists and more on widgets on the display, or use it to watch recipe videos or even shows and movies on Netflix, Prime Video and more. It also uses a "visual and voice ID" feature to recognize who's looking at the screen or who's giving an Alexa command, so it can then display the most relevant information to that person on the screen.
Early Prime Day deals keep popping up as we get close to the two-day shopping event, and this time they discount the Chromecast with Google TV by $10. You can pick up the streaming device for $40 right now, which is a return to its record low. Not only does this gadget give you access to services like Netflix, YouTube TV and others, but it also supports classic casting from your smartphone and other devices.
The latest Chromecast came out in 2020, but it remains a great option for those who already rely on the Google Assistant or those who prefer the Android TV ecosystem. Like most streaming devices in this price range, it supports 4K HDR content as well as Dolby Vision and Atmos. It's just as easy to install as other streaming dongles, but one of the best things about it is its voice remote. That makes it much easier to navigate the Android TV interface, and it has a voice button that you can press when you want to search for content using voice commands.
When you're not binge-watching your favorite show, you can also use the Chromecast with Google TV to turn your set into something like a huge smart display (sans touch capabilities). Using Assistant commands, you can ask the Chromecast to display forecasts on your TV, show live feeds from compatible security cameras and control smart lights and other accessories. We also like that it supports Ambient Mode, which lets you display Google Photos on your TV when you're not actively using it.
It's no secret that Amazon devices are some of the best things to buy on Prime Day. Amazon usually discounts most of its gadgets to record-low prices for the two-day shopping event, but Prime members can take advantage of great sales now. In addition to bringing devices like the Echo Dot and the Fire TV Cube down to their best prices yet, early Prime Day deals have discounted a bunch of Amazon device bundles, too. Here are the best deals we found on bundled Amazon devices that you can get before Prime Day begins.
Echo Dot + smart plug
Amazon
Adding an Amazon smart plug to your purchase when you pick up an Echo Dot will only cost you $5 more, so you'll get both devices for a total of $25. While the Echo Dot can act as your main Alexa voice control device, Amazon's smart plug can also be controlled via the Alexa mobile app, allowing you to turn "dumb" items around your home into smart ones.
The full-sized Echo is on sale for $60, but you can add a Sengled smart light bulb to your order for no additional cost. It's one of Sengled's Bluetooth color smart bulbs, which means it'll be easy to set up using only your smartphone and then you can control it using Alexa voice commands.
If you're considering a Ring Doorbell for your home, you can pick up the wired model and add an Echo Show 5 into the mix and pay only $100 in total. These two devices work well together: the smart doorbell will show you any visitors that end up on your doorstep, while the Echo Show 5 can display the live feed from the doorbell's camera.
Both Amazon's smart thermostat and the Echo Show 5 have been discounted for Prime members, so the company made it easy for you to pick up both in a bundle that costs $77. That's nearly half off of the normal cost of buying both items together, making this a good deal for those that want to kickstart their smart home plans without spending too much money.
If you're picking up an Echo Show 5 Kids for your children to use, you can add the Echo Glow smart lamp to your order for only $11 more. This edition of the Show 5 includes one year of Amazon Kids+, while the Glow lets you program light cues to go along with routines you have for your children like waking up, playtime and getting ready to go to bed.
Prime members can pick up two Blink Minis for the price of one, for a total of $30. That's 54 percent off the bundle's usual price and the cheapest we've seen it. While the Mini's main drawback when compared to standard Blink cameras is that it must be plugged in, it otherwise works just like Blink Indoor security cameras. It records in 1080p and supports two-way audio and motion detection.
Amazon's bundle that includes the Blink Video Doorbell and a Blink Outdoor camera system gives you much of what you'd need to keep track of your home both when you're there and not. Prime members can get the bundle for $90 right now, or $55 off its usual price. The smart doorbell lets you see who's outside your home at any time, plus talk to them using the device's two-way audio feature. The Blink Outdoor cam can be used inside or outside to provide another view of your home. Best of all, the bundle comes with a Sync Module, which you'll need to use both devices.
The Kindle Essentials bundle, which includes the latest version of the e-reader, a fabric cover and a power adapter, is 48 percent off and down to $73. It's a good pack to get if you've just wanted a basic e-reader along with two of the most popular accessories to go along with it. We gave the Kindle a score of 91 for its higher-contrast display, improved front lighting and slimmer design.
The most powerful streaming stick that Amazon makes, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, can be bundled with a Luna game controller for a total of $95, which is 24 percent off. These can be used together as you can access Amazon's cloud gaming service on your TV using the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and play using the Luna controller. When you're not gaming, you can use the dongle to watch any of the most popular streaming services and the controller with other devices by connecting it via Bluetooth.
With Amazon Prime Day only a few days away, the early deals are in full swing. Prime members can pick up things like Echo Dots, Kindles, Fire TV devices and more for less right now, while anyone can pick up the latest Apple TV 4K for one of the best prices we've seen. Roku has also discounted most of its gadgets ahead of Prime Day, allowing you to grab any of the company's streaming devices for less. And if you're on the market for a new smart speaker, Wellbots has a few Google devices, including the Nest Audio, on sale, too. Here are the best tech deals from this week that you can still get today.
Apple TV 4K
Devindra Hardawar/Engadget
The latest Apple TV 4K with 32GB of storage is back on sale for $150, which is close to its record-low price. The 64GB model has also been discounted to $170. The set-top box is out favorite premium device and it earned a score of 90 from us for its fast performance, Dolby Vision and Atmos support and much-improved Siri remote.
The Echo Dot has dropped to $20 for Prime members ahead of the two-day shopping event. We like this tiny smart speaker for its good audio quality, compact design and tap-to-snooze feature. If you'd prefer something with more powerful speakers, the standard Echo is also on sale for $60 right now.
The Echo Show 5 has dropped to a new low of $35 for Prime members. If you want a smarter alarm clock, this is the smart display to get. We like its sharp 5-inch display, ambient light sensor, smart home controls and tap-to-snooze feature. If you want something a bit larger, the 1st-gen Echo Show 8 is also on sale for $55 for Prime members.
Prime members can grab the Fire TV Cube for only $60 right now, which is half off its usual price. It supports 4K streaming, Dolby Vision and Atmos, plus hands-free Alexa controls.
Amazon's Kindle Kids Edition has dropped to $50 for Prime members. That's 55 percent off and the best price we've seen. This is a standard Kindle, but with a few extra child-focused perks like a two-year warranty, a kid-friendly case and a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+. If you'd prefer a device that's a bit more versatile, the previous-generation of the Fire 7 tablet is on sale for only $30 right now.
A number of Amazon smart home devices are on sale right now, including the company's smart thermostat, which is down to a new low of $42 for Prime members. It's designed to be a more affordable version of higher-end smart thermostats, giving you the power to control your home's environment from anywhere using the Alexa app. Plus, it also responds to Alexa voice commands when you're at home.
Amazon's Glow device for kids is more than half off and down to $150 for Prime members. It combines an 8-inch video-calling display with a projector that displays a 19-inch interactive surface in front of the device. Kids can use that to play games, solve puzzles, read stories and more, and family members can call in and participate with them using their own smartphones or tablets.
Amazon has both the Fitbit Charge 5 and the Fitbit Sense smartwatch on sale right now. You can pick up the Charge 5 for $110 and the Sense for $171. The Charge 5 earned a score of 82 from us for its accurate GPS, slimmer design and standard Fitbit Pay feature.
A number of Roku devices are on sale right now, including the Streambar for $90. We gave it a score of 86 for its compact design, solid audio chops and built-in 4K HDR streaming tech.
Wellbots has discounted the Nest Audio smart speaker, along with both the Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max. The Nest Audio is $40 off and down to $60 with the code EGDT40 at checkout, while the Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max are on sale for $60 (using the same code) and $169 (with the code EGDT60), respectively.
Jabra's Elite 7 Pro wireless earbuds are 30 percent off and down to $140. These were designed to be the successors to the stellar 85ts, but with a smaller design. They have adjustable noise cancellation and up to nine hours of battery life.
Positive Grid has a good promotion going on now when you pre-order its new Spark Mini. You'll get the Mini plus a free crimson grille for $199, or $30 less than its regular price. The Spark Mini is a smaller version of the company's classic amp that's designed to be easily portable, and it doubles as a Bluetooth speaker.
Even Google devices are getting discounted ahead of Amazon Prime Day. Wellbots currently has a few Nest gadgets at some of the best prices we've seen. The Nest Audio smart speaker is $40 off and down to $60 with the code EGDT40 at checkout, while the Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max are on sale for $60 (using the same code) and $169 (with the code EGDT60), respectively.
Even though the Nest Audio came out in 2020, we still consider it to be one of the best smart speakers you can get. And if you already live in the Google ecosystem, it's a no-brainer. The speaker has an unassuming yet attractive design, plus great audio quality that's made even better if you pair two of them together and use them in stereo mode. There are better speakers out there if you're mostly concerned with audio quality, but the Nest Audio excels at being a solid music-machine that also houses the Google Assistant. You can use voice commands to add events to your calendar, check the forecast, control smart home gadgets, play specific music and more.
Either of the Nest Hubs on sale are better if you like the idea of having a display to show you all of the information you ask the Assistant to gather for you. The standard Nest Hub is basically a Nest Audio but with an added touchscreen, plus it has sleep-tracking capabilities if you place it next to your bed. We also appreciate that the second-gen version has clearer, louder audio and even speedier Google Assistant performance. As for the Nest Hub Max, it's the one to get if you want the best audio quality possible, plus as big of a screen as you can get on any Nest smart device.
Now's a good time to pick up a new Roku device while a bunch of them are on sale before Prime Day even begins. Roku has cut prices of most of its streaming devices and soundbars, including the compact Streambar, which is 31 percent off and down to $90 right now. Other noteworthy discounts include the 2022 Roku Ultra for $80, the Roku Streaming Stick 4K for $30 and the Roku Express 4K+ for $25.
The Streambar impressed us enough to earn a score of 86 in our review. It's a multipurpose device that's best for those that want an updating streaming gadget that also has solid audio chops. As a soundbar, it pumps out much better audio than your aging TV does, and it even works as a Bluetooth speaker, too. And unlike most soundbars, it won't take up too much space in your setup as it's only about the size of a carton of eggs.
In addition to being a solid soundbar, the Streambar also has Roku's 4K HDR streaming technology inside. That means it can be your primary gateway to services like Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video and others. We also like that it comes with a voice remote that you can use to ask the device to find your favorite shows and movies.
If you primarily care about getting the best streaming experience possible, the Roku Ultra is the better device to get. It supports 4K HDR10+ content and Dolby Atmos, plus it has the best WiFi speeds out of any Roku device. It also has an Ethernet port on it, so you can hardwire it into your setup if you wish. You also get an HDMI cable with it, along with a voice remote and a pair of headphones for private listening. Both the Streaming Stick 4K and the Express 4K+ are better for those on a budget, and the main differences between them are that the Streaming Stick 4K supports Dolby Vision and long-range WiFi — two features you won't get on the Express 4K+.
