Amazon has discounted most of its Blink wireless security cameras for Prime Day this year, but one of the best deals is on the budget-friendly, wired version of the camera. You can pick up a two-pack of Blink Minis for only $30 right now, which is more than half off the original rate. Along with that, you can grab a Blink Indoor kit for as low as $55, an Outdoor kit for only $60 and a Blink Video Doorbell for $35.
If you're on the fence about choosing the Blink system for your home, giving a Blink Mini a try is a great place to start. Not only are they the most affordable of the bunch, but they also include most of the features the standard Indoor and Outdoor cameras have. The biggest drawback is that the Minis are wired, so you'll have to place them inside and need an outlet. Otherwise, they act much the same as the regular Blink cameras do, recording 1080p video, sending you motion alerts and supporting two-way talk. The Minis also have infrared night vision for clearer nighttime footage, plus Alexa support.
For those that already have Blink cameras around their home, Prime Day offers the chance to pick up a couple more at the best prices possible. Both the Indoor and Outdoor cameras have all of the features that the Blink Mini does, plus they're completely wireless. That makes it much easier to place them anywhere around your home, especially if you have the right mounting accessories to pair with them. Both versions run on AA batteries that will last up to two years before they need replacing, and the Outdoor models are weather-resistant, too.
Amazon recently expanded the Blink system to include a Video Doorbell, which is essentially a cheaper version of a Ring doorbell. Blink's has a slimmer profile and can be installed either wired into your doorbell's hardware or wirelessly. Just like the cameras, the Video Doorbell records in 1080p, will send you motion alerts and lets you speak to people at your front door using its two-way audio feature.
There are no shortage of robot vacuum deals for Prime Day, but some of the most affordable devices lie in Anker's Eufy family. A number of those robo-vacs are on sale for Amazon's shopping event, with one of our favorites being 48 percent off. You can pick up the Eufy RoboVac 11S Max is down to inly $130 right now, or nearly half off its original price. Another solid pick, the Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid, is $270 off and down to $380, which is the best price we've seen it.
The 11S Max is actually a stronger version of the robot vacuum that made it into our budget robot vacuum guide. The standard 11S has 1300Pa of suction power, while the Max has 2000Pa, so you're getting a device that should do an even better job of sucking up dirt and debris. Otherwise, the 11S Max is basically the same as the standard model: at only 2.85-inches tall, it's slim enough to get underneath some furniture and it'll return to its base when it needs a recharge. It's not a WiFi-connected robot vacuum, which means you can't control it from your smartphone. However, it comes with a handy remote that has options for most of the big things you'd want to do with a robo-vac like change cleaning modes, set schedules and more.
While the 11S Max is probably best for those who aren't sure how much they'll use a robot vacuum, the X8 Hybrid is for those who know a machine like this will fill a void in their home. It's a vacuum-and-mop hybrid device that comes with a 250-milliliter water tank that you can fill when you want to run a mopping job. As a vacuum, though, it's pretty powerful and we appreciated its accurate home-mapping skills, four different cleaning modes and its "tap and go" feature, which lets you send the machine to a specific spot in your home to clean.
If you're looking for a way to upgrade your home's WiFi, Amazon's Eero 6 routers are a good option. Not only are there are a number of WiFi 6 options to choose from, but all of them have been discounted for Prime Day. The Eero 6 is on sale starting at $71, while the Eero Pro 6 starts at $148 for the two-day shopping event. The company's newest editions, the Eero Pro 6E and the Eero 6+, are available for $194 and $90, respectively.
Most people will be best served by either the Eero 6 or Pro 6 systems. The former can cover up to 1,500 square feet with just one node, and you can add additional routers into the mix to expand coverage for larger homes. It's a dual-band system that can reach speeds up to 900Mbps, and each router has two Ethernet ports built in. For Gigabit internet, the tri-band Eero Pro 6 is your best bet as it supports that level of speed, plus one router can cover up to 2,000 square feet.
Amazon came out with both the Eero Pro 6E and the 6+ earlier this year, but they're very different systems. The Pro 6E is the best WiFi 6 system you can get from Amazon right now, and it gives you access to the 6GHz band to reach speeds up to 1.3Gbps. Each node covers up to 2,000 square feet, and you'll be able to connect up to 100 devices at once. The Eero 6+ sits in the middle of the standard Eero 6 and the Pro 6 systems. The dual-band router will give you speeds up to 1Gbps, coverage for up to 1,500 square feet and a device cap of 75. Plus, it has access to a 160MHz radio channel, which should provide faster wireless speeds.
You're not wrong to look for big-ticket gadgets to go on sale during Amazon Prime Day. Plenty of popular devices are down to record-low prices, and you should grab them before their prices go back up after Prime Day ends. But maybe you're on the hunt for even more affordable things, or useful accessories that won't cost you an arm and a leg even when discounted. Those things do exist, so, to help you avoid endless sifting through cheap deals, we collected the best Prime Day tech deals under $50 here.

The latest Roku Streaming Stick 4K is on sale for $30. It builds upon the technology in the Streaming Stick+, supporting 4K HDR10+ content, Dolby Vision, long-range WiFi, voice search and TV controls with the included remote.
You can grab an AirTag for $27.50 right now at Amazon, or you can head over to Woot and get one for $25 or a pack of four for $85. It's a more modern version of a thumb drive featuring a swivel design with a USB-A connector on one end and a USB-C dongle on the other. We like its sleek, portable design, its 150MB/s read speeds and the fact that you'll be able to use it with almost any device.
Jabra's excellent Elite 3 earbuds have dropped to $50, or $30 off their normal rate. These already affordable buds earned a score of 88 from us for their impressive sound quality, good battery life, reliable touch controls and comfortable fit.
Jabra's Elite 45h headphones are half off and down to $50. We like these cans for their solid sound quality, voice assistant access, compact design and 50-hour battery life.
Sony's compact SRS-XB13 Bluetooth speaker is down to just $48, which is nearly half off its regular price. Not only does it come in a bunch of fun colors, but this tiny speaker also has a waterproof IP67 rated design, punchy bass and a 16-hour battery life.
Razer's Anzu smart glasses have returned to an all-time-low price of $50 for Prime Day. We gave them a score of 74 for their blue-light filtering lenses, decent battery life and convenient hands-free audio.
A four-pack of Kasa smart plugs is 24 percent off and down to only $23 for Prime Day. You can plug in any "dumb" appliance to these attachments to make them a bit smarter, enabling you to control them from your phone, set usage schedules and more.
Along with a bunch of other Amazon smart home gadgets, the company's smart plug is $12 off and down to $13. You can plug almost any "dumb" appliance into this accessory to make it a smart one that can be controlled via a companion app and with Alexa voice commands.
Amazon's smart thermostat is on sale for $42 right now. This affordable IoT gadget lets you control your home's temperature from anywhere and it can be adjusted via Alexa commands.
The Blink Mini has been discounted to only $30 for Prime Day, and you can get two of them for the price of one as well. This camera needs to be plugged in, but we like its compact design, 1080p recording, motion alerts and two-way audio.
The latest portable drive to be added to Samsung's T7 family is cheaper than ever for Amazon Prime Day. The new T7 Shield in 1TB is down to a new record low of $100, which is $60 off its normal price. The 2TB model is $90 off and down to only $200, too. This SSD is only a few months old as Samsung released it in April, so now's a great opportunity to grab it while you can pick it up at a discount.
The T7 Shield is essentially a tougher version of the standard T7. It has a rubberized exterior that surrounds its aluminum body, giving it extra durability and drop protection. Samsung claims the SSD can easily survive p to 9.8-foot drops, plus it has an IP65 rating for water- and dust-resistance. This might sound like overkill for a device that you may intend to keep in your backpack or on your desk at home, but it'll provide extra peace of mind if you ever need to travel with the SSD and work with it in the go.
When it comes to performance, the T7 Shield supports read/write speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s and 1,000 MB/s, respectively, and it works with most devices including Macs, PCs, Android devices, game consoles and more. That's due in part to the fact that the drive comes with both USB-C to C and USB-C to A cables, allowing you to connect it to many different types of gadgets. We also appreciate that it supports AES 256-bit hardware encryption as well.
It may be Prime Day, but that doesn't mean you can only save some money if you shop at Amazon. For the past few years, other retailers have used Prime Day as a catalyst for their own sales events. That's good news for all of us because it means that you don't have to be a Prime member, or even shop exclusively at Amazon, to get great deals on Prime Day. When it comes to tech sales, you'll find good deals across Walmart, Target, Microsoft and others this Prime Day and we recommend checking them all out to get exactly what you want at the best price. Some deep discounts you'll find on Amazon may even be matched at other places, so it's worth doing a bit of research before deciding where you want to spend your money. Here are the best anti-Prime Day deals we could find for 2022.
Walmart
Google
Walmart has a number of new rollbacks this week to compete with Amazon Prime Day. There are sales across the entire site, including in tech, home, fashion, food and more. Some of the highlights include the Shark ION robot vacuum for only $129, the Nest Mini smart speaker for $30 and this 58-inch Hisense Roku smart TV for only $298.
Microsoft's back-to-school sale started this week and it knocks up to 50 percent off Windows laptops. On top of that, certain Surface Pro 8 machines with i7 processors are up to $300 off and bundles with the Pro 8 and Pro Keyboard start at $900. Other items on sale include the Surface Laptop Go, which is up to $350 less than usual.
If you need to pick up some new photography or video equipment, Adorama's Create and Save Days sale event could have what you're looking for. A bunch of cameras, lenses, monitors and more have been discounted, and you'll find Sony, Nikon, Shure, LG and other brands included in the sale. The site even has the XBox Series S for only $250, too.
Dell's Black Friday in July sale knocks up to $500 off PCs, while also discounting new laptops and desktops in many of its lineups. Devices like the new Dell Inspiron 3000 and 5000 laptops are included in this sale, along with gaming machines from Alienware and peripherals like monitors, gaming chairs, headsets, keyboards and more.
A smart thermostat can help you save on energy costs while also giving you more control over your home's environment. While they can be on the expensive side, both of Google's main smart thermostats are on sale for Prime Day. The Nest Learning Thermostat has dropped to $199 while the standard Nest Thermostat is on sale for $90. Those aren't record-low prices but they're pretty close, making now a good opportunity to add one to your smart home ecosystem.
The Nest Learning Thermostat is the most advanced model that Google makes. It's an Energy Star-certified device that monitors energy usage in your home while learning your preferences and building temperature schedules around your routines. After a bit of use, the device will learn when you like to keep your home cooler or warmer and automatically adjust the temperature to accommodate that. It also works with sensors that you can place around your home, if you prefer to keep certain rooms at specific temperatures. While a lot of the Nest Learning Thermostats features are designed to automate your home's environmental changes, you can always tweak things yourself via the Nest mobile app, too.
If you're on a tighter budget, the standard Nest Thermostat may be a better option. Unlike the Learning model, it doesn't work with temperature sensors and it has a slightly different design. You'll get a higher-quality display on the more expensive model, but the display on the regular version is just as usable. Otherwise, the standard smart thermostat is also Energy Star-certified and it lets you program your home's temperature, set schedules and more.
A bunch of other Google IoT devices have been discounted for Prime Day, too. You can pick up the Nest Doorbell Battery for only $120, or the Nest Cam Battery for $200. These are some of Google's newest smart home devices and they both run on rechargeable batteries, so there are no wires to fuss with.
If you're in need of a new laptop for work or for the upcoming school year, you could grab one for less on Prime Day. Amazon has discounted a bunch of notebooks from Lenovo, HP, Acer, Razer and others, and you'll find plenty of options both at the high and low ends of the price spectrum.
Buying a laptop from Amazon can be a bit of a toss up, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't consider doing so. While you won't find as many configurations of any given laptop on Amazon as you would on the manufacturer's site, Amazon's steep discounts often make up for that. If you're fine choosing from a few pre-made configs, check out the Prime Day sales to see if you can get what you need for less. If you'd rather build your machine from scratch with the exact specs you want, consider going straight to the source. Besides, plenty of brands are having their own sale events to compete with Prime Day. Here are the best deals on laptops and tablets we found for Prime Day 2022.

Acer's Aspire 5 is on sale for just about $410, which is 18 percent cheaper than usual. This 15-inch notebook runs on an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. In general, we like the Aspire 5 series for its good build quality, comfortable keyboard and solid performance — all things that can be hard to find on cheap Windows laptops.
Amazon knocked 18 percent off this HP Pavilion 15 laptop, bringing it down to $775. It runs on an 11th-gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. We also like that it has an edge-to-edge FHD display and a number pad on the keyboard.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab S7+ tablet is 44 percent cheaper than usual and down to $500. We gave the tablet a score of 81 when it first came out in 2020 for its gorgeous design, lovely 120Hz display and useful S-Pen and note-taking software.
The Galaxy Tab S8 is on sale for $580 right now, or $120 off its normal price. These are Samsung's answers to Apple's iPad Pros, and we gave the S8+ a score of 85 for its gorgeous display, super thin design, good battery life and included S Pen.
Samsung's Galaxy Book Pro laptop with a 15.6-inch AMOLED screen, a Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is on sale for $880 right now, or 32 percent off its usual price. This a relatively new laptop from Samsung that focuses on being as thin and light as possible without compromising on performance, and stunning with a lovely display.
The Fire HD 8 tablet is half off and down to $45. We gave it a score of 81 for its decent performance, good battery life, wireless charging capabilities and USB-C port.
The Fire HD 10 has dropped to only $75 for Prime Day. It's the Fire tablet to get if you want the best performance possible. We like its 1080p display, 12-hour battery life and its Show Mode feature.
Amazon's Fire 7 Kids Pro tablet is down to $50, or 50 percent off its usual rate. It's the smallest of the company's affordable tablets and the kids version comes with a protective case, a two-year warranty and one year of access to Amazon Kids+.
The 8-inch version of Amazon's kids tablet is on sale for $70. This also comes with a protective case, a two-year warranty and a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+.
The Fire HD 10 Kids is also on sale for $120 right now. You're getting the same thing in this bundle — a protective case, a two-year warranty and a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+ — along with a larger tablet.
Amazon Prime Day can be a great time to pick up a robot vacuum for much less than usual. This year, you can pick up iRobot's Roomba i7+ for only $500, which is 50 percent off its normal price and the cheapest we've seen it. It's not the newest robo-vac in iRobot's lineup, but it remains one of the most powerful. Also on sale are the entry-level Roomba 692, which you can pick up for $180, and the midrange Shark AV2501AE AI robot vacuum, which is on sale for $380.
The Roomba i7+ impressed us when it first came out for its strong cleaning abilities, accurate home mapping and handy clean base. It has 10x the suction power of more basic Roombas, plus dual multi-surface brushes that do a good job capturing dirt, debris and pet hair. After one or two cleaning jobs, the machine builds a map of your home that you can then edit and label in iRobot's companion mobile app. This will let you send the i7+ to specific rooms for targeted cleaning jobs and set "keep out zones" if you have spaces of your home that you don't want to robot to clean.
But the machine's clean base is what sets it apart from other robot vacuums. After each job, the i7+ will automatically return to its base to recharge, and it will also empty its dustbin into the clean base. That means you don't have to empty the dustbin every time, rather you'll only have to change the bag in the clean base about once every two months. If you're someone who wants a robot vacuum that takes almost all of the work out of the chore, the Roomba i7+, or a machine like it with a clean base, is the best option.
Shark's AV2501AE robo-vac is similar in that it also comes with a clean base, and some may prefer it because it's a bagless system. You'll simply pop part of the base off every time you need to empty it, and it snaps back into place when you're finished. This Shark device is actually our favorite robot vacuum right now because it combines good suction power with a clean base and an easy to use mobile app.
On the budget end of things, the Roomba 692 is a solid option. You won't get a clean base, as those are reserved for more expensive machines, but you will get good cleaning capabilities thanks to dual multi-surface brushes, adaptive navigation for better obstacle avoidance and Alexa and Google Assistant support.
Amazon has discounted most of Ring's Video Doorbells for Prime Day this year. The cheapest of the bunch is the 2020 Ring Video Doorbell, which is 25 percent off and down to $75. The upgraded Ring Video Doorbell 3 is $40 off and down to $160, while the latest model, the Video Doorbell 4, is $50 off and down to $170. While they all have some differences between them, each of these IoT devices do the same thing: let you see who's outside your front door at all times.
The standard Video Doorbell likely has everything most people would need in a gadget like this. It records 1080p video and supports two-way talking, so you can see and speak to visitors without actually answering your door. The device will also send alerts to your smartphone when it detects motion, so you'll know when you have a visitor or a package as soon as they arrive. Setup is fairly simple and you have the option to keep the device running on its rechargeable battery or hardwire it into your existing doorbell system. And if you have Echo Shows around your home, you'll be able to see the doorbell's video feed on their screens.
Opting for the Video Doorbell 3 or 4 gets you some extra perks. The Ring Video Doorbell 3 connects to 5 GHz WiFi rather than 2.4 GHz networks, plus it has a removable battery pack, interchangeable face plates and an included corner kit. The 4th iteration of the device has all of the features the Doorbell 3 does, plus a new color video previews and a new Quick Replies feature. The latter lets you program common responses you may have to people at your door, such as "please leave the package outside," and use them whenever you're too busy to respond to visitors yourself.
